School Speech Language Pathologist - Shelton, Washington

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a skilled Speech Language Pathologist with CCC credentials. This full-time role begins tentatively on August 24th, providing direct impact at an elementary early learning program in Belfair, WA. You’ll play a vital part in helping students develop essential communication skills, in an environment committed to individualized growth and specialized support.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current SLP license for WA State and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Experience with school-based services and IEP processes
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Capacity to adapt practices for diverse learners, including those in preschool and transition phases

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations, draft evaluation reports, and participate in meetings to discuss results before and after the student day
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
• Deliver direct and indirect SLP services on-site to early learning students, including Itinerant and Child Find services
• Support developmental preschool programming (DPS), noting that DPS has no student attendance on Wednesdays
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to facilitate transitions, including potential transition-to-kindergarten support depending on caseload
• Maintain transparent communication and documentation that reflect best practices and compliance requirements

This position offers a stable full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, aligned with the school day (staff work 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM). The role allows you to utilize your expertise in a collaborative educational setting and make a real difference in students’ lives.
