Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Texas
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently and prioritize tasks
- Commitment to evidence-based therapeutic interventions
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to approximately 55 students on one campus
- Assess, develop, and implement IEP goals tailored to student needs
- Monitor progress and maintain detailed data and reports in accordance with district and state requirements
- Consult with the Lead SLP, teachers, and families to ensure holistic student support
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for optimal student outcomes
- Provide guidance to educators regarding communication supports and classroom strategies
- Complete required documentation in a timely, organized manner
This contract runs from ASAP through May 12th, aligning with the academic calendar. The schedule is structured as 7.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, allowing for a predictable workweek and a balanced routine in the school environment.
