Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication development in a dynamic school setting near Shorewood, IL. This full-time position offers the chance to work closely with diverse student groups and collaborate with dedicated educational teams throughout the 2026-2027 academic year, from August through June.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Illinois state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience providing speech therapy in school environments
  • Comfortable serving students across general education, special programs, and varying needs (autism, emotional/behavioral disorders, transitions)
  • Strong collaboration and consultation skills
  • Ability to manage varying caseloads effectively

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy to assigned students at multiple sites:
    • Nettle Creek: 5 gen ed students
    • River’s Edge Academy: 15 students (ED/BD)
    • Saratoga Autism: 12 direct, 3 consult
    • Transition Learning Center: 5 direct, 6 consult
  • Develop and implement treatment plans and attend IEP/504 meetings
  • Complete necessary documentation, progress reports, and service logs
  • Consult with other educational professionals and caregivers to support student outcomes
  • Adjust caseload as needed and stay updated with any changes
