School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Signal Mountain, Tennessee

This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for Speech-Language Pathology professionals eager to work in school settings and collaborate with dedicated educators to help students reach their communication goals.

The assignment will begin in early August and continue through May of the following year, with 35 hours per week spent providing direct and consultative speech-language services across one or more local school campuses. While details on specific caseload and age group are forthcoming, district needs have typically focused on elementary-aged students. Flexibility and a team-oriented approach will be key as assignments may be adjusted based on annual student population.

Qualifications:

• Current, active SLP license
• Department of Education Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• School-based SLP experience highly desirable
• Commitment to completing required fingerprinting and credentialing prior to the start date
• Adaptability and a collaborative approach to working within school teams

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapy to students with speech and language needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support personalized student goals
• Document services and progress according to district and regulatory requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and help shape supportive educational environments
