Seize an exciting opportunity to make a difference in students’ lives as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) near Silver Spring, MD! This temporary role begins as soon as possible and extends through October 30th, offering you a chance to put your SLP-CCC expertise into action in a supportive school setting. Choose from full-time or part-time hours to best fit your schedule—full-timers help with both direct caseload and make-up sessions, while part-time professionals focus on student caseload only.

You’ll work Monday through Friday, 8AM-4PM, with the flexibility to leave early (after students depart at noon) on Wednesdays to accommodate your needs. The primary caseload consists of nine students, currently requiring 7.25 direct service hours per week, with opportunities to assist other therapists with make-up sessions. This caseload may evolve depending on the arrival of new students, keeping your days varied and impactful.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
  • Active SLP-CCC certification
  • License to practice in Maryland (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Prior experience in a school setting preferred
  • Confident with both solo and collaborative work
  • Strong communication and time-management skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy to students according to IEPs
  • Conduct assessments and document student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
  • Record and manage make-up therapy sessions as needed
  • Adapt services to evolving caseloads and student needs
