With a start date of August 24, 2026, you'll play a crucial role in helping learners develop communication skills for academic and personal success. Training may be scheduled in the week prior to the first day of school on August 31, 2026, ensuring you're fully prepared to make a positive impact from day one. This assignment extends through June 16, 2027, with potential extension to June 23, 2027, if snow make-up days are required.
You'll work a consistent 37.5-hour week with a caseload of approximately 50 students, serving a diverse population that could range from preschool through age 22. While the specific site is to be determined, you'll enjoy the variety and challenge of supporting students with a range of communication needs.
Your qualifications and experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Washington SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
- Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Skilled in assessments, IEP development, and direct therapy
- Team-oriented, with excellent communication and organizational skills
Role responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group speech and language therapy to students on your caseload
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and progress monitoring
- Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required
- Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with school and state regulations
