Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting early learners as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist. Your expertise will be valued in guiding 3-5 year old students as they develop essential communication skills. This position spans from August 21, 2026, through June 9, 2027, following a 190-day contract calendar and primarily serving locations across the Salem area, as well as Polk and Yamhill counties.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
  • Active SLP license for the state
  • CCC-SLP credential preferred; CFY applicants considered
  • Experience with pediatric or preschool populations, especially ages 3-5
  • Comfortable providing both in-person and teletherapy services
  • Strong knowledge of evaluation, diagnosis, and intervention in school and healthcare settings
  • Collaborative approach with teachers, staff, and families
  • SLPA licensure or previous supervision of SLPAs is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication needs
  • Deliver individualized and group therapy for preschoolers in school-based settings
  • Consult with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student success
  • Document progress and participate in IEP meetings
  • Integrate evidence-based practices in both on-site and teletherapy modalities
  • Provide mentorship or supervision to assistants if appropriate
