Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting early learners as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist. Your expertise will be valued in guiding 3-5 year old students as they develop essential communication skills. This position spans from August 21, 2026, through June 9, 2027, following a 190-day contract calendar and primarily serving locations across the Salem area, as well as Polk and Yamhill counties.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
- Active SLP license for the state
- CCC-SLP credential preferred; CFY applicants considered
- Experience with pediatric or preschool populations, especially ages 3-5
- Comfortable providing both in-person and teletherapy services
- Strong knowledge of evaluation, diagnosis, and intervention in school and healthcare settings
- Collaborative approach with teachers, staff, and families
- SLPA licensure or previous supervision of SLPAs is an asset
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Deliver individualized and group therapy for preschoolers in school-based settings
- Consult with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student success
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Integrate evidence-based practices in both on-site and teletherapy modalities
- Provide mentorship or supervision to assistants if appropriate
