Make a lasting impact supporting K-8 students as a contract speech-language pathologist in a school-based setting near Simpsonville, SC. This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated SLP who wants to work a flexible, part-time schedule while supporting a manageable caseload focused primarily on K-5th grade students with mild speech and language needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold current, full Speech-Language Pathologist certification in South Carolina with CCC
- Previous experience working with school-aged populations, preferably K-8
- Skilled at conducting speech evaluations and participating in IEP meetings
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
- Must be available to work on-site; this role is not open to virtual, SLP-CF, or SLPA candidates
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to a caseload of 25-30 students, largely with mild needs and a small number presenting moderate challenges
- Provide comprehensive speech evaluations and contribute to IEP development and meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals and progress
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of services and progress reports
- Utilize planned prep and meeting periods built into your daily schedule (work hours are approximately 8:30 am – 1:30 pm, 4 days per week)
- Serve the entire school year, from August 2 through May 28
