Step into a rewarding role supporting students from kindergarten through young adulthood as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP or CFY). This is a full-time, contract opportunity serving learners aged 2 to 22, including those with moderate to severe disabilities. Your expertise in speech-language therapy will be vital in fostering students’ communication skills and maximizing their potential for academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver effective speech language therapy targeting assistive technology, augmentative communication, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and receptive/expressive language delays
- Conduct thorough diagnostic and evaluation assessments and compile insightful, detailed reports based on findings and observations
- Formulate and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives tailored to student needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student development and ensure a cohesive approach
- Address social language skills and contribute to an inclusive environment for learners with varying abilities
Qualifications:
- Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Delaware state SLP license; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Previous experience supporting moderate to severe student needs is highly valued
- Strong communication and teamwork skills essential
