This full-time, onsite contract position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of learners, including children and young adults from preschool through age 22, in a highly collaborative special education setting. Multiple positions are available, allowing you to focus your skills primarily with early learners, though opportunities to assist older students may arise. You'll play a vital part in a team dedicated to advancing communication and learning for students with autism and a spectrum of cognitive abilities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Hold or be eligible for SLP licensure in Delaware; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome to apply
  • Strong understanding of best practices for students with autism and moderate to significant disabilities
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Commitment to providing therapy services onsite in a school setting

Your Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and deliver direct speech and language therapy to students ages PK through 22
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs and IEP goals
  • Collaborate closely with educators, special education staff, and families to promote student success
  • Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Adapt intervention strategies for students with varying levels of cognitive and behavioral functioning
  • Contribute positively to a team dedicated to inclusive, student-centered care
