You'll play a vital part in a team dedicated to advancing communication and learning for students with autism and a spectrum of cognitive abilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Hold or be eligible for SLP licensure in Delaware; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome to apply
- Strong understanding of best practices for students with autism and moderate to significant disabilities
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Commitment to providing therapy services onsite in a school setting
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver direct speech and language therapy to students ages PK through 22
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs and IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with educators, special education staff, and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Adapt intervention strategies for students with varying levels of cognitive and behavioral functioning
- Contribute positively to a team dedicated to inclusive, student-centered care
