A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a school setting located in Smyrna, DE. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential speech and language support to students, helping them achieve their communication and academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in a school environment
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in Delaware
- Experience working with school-aged children in an educational setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff
- Ability to develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions
