Step into an impactful position supporting early childhood learners as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist. In this rewarding contract role, you’ll work full time—with part time options considered—providing specialized speech therapy to young students in an engaging school environment. This opportunity is open to a broad range of SLP professionals, including those holding their CCC, candidates currently completing their CFY, and those with a background in either healthcare or school settings.
Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping children communicate more confidently and achieve their full potential during these formative years. This is an onsite-only position, and only fully credentialed SLPs will be considered (no SLPAs).
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
- Active Illinois SLP license and current ASHA certification (CCC) or eligibility for CFY
- Experience working in educational or healthcare settings with an early childhood focus
- Strong collaboration skills for partnering with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Genuine passion for nurturing communication skills in young learners
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized therapy plans for early childhood students
- Deliver thoughtful, evidence-based therapy sessions onsite
- Maintain accurate records and prepare necessary reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Consult regularly with educational staff and families regarding student progress and intervention strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to holistic student support planning
