Desired skills and qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Michigan SLP license (or eligibility)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience or training working with pediatric and school populations is highly valued
  • Strong collaboration skills with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders among students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals
  • Deliver direct intervention to students in both individual and group settings
  • Monitor progress, adjust therapy plans, and maintain accurate records
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ communication needs in the classroom
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and professional development as needed
  • Adhere to all school and district policies, following best practices and legal guidelines
