Make a difference in the lives of students during the 2026-2027 school year as a valued Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive educational setting. This contract opportunity is full-time, offering a chance to work closely with school-aged children, helping them excel in academics and communication skills.
Desired skills and qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Michigan SLP license (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply
- Previous experience or training working with pediatric and school populations is highly valued
- Strong collaboration skills with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
Key responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders among students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals
- Deliver direct intervention to students in both individual and group settings
- Monitor progress, adjust therapy plans, and maintain accurate records
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ communication needs in the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and professional development as needed
- Adhere to all school and district policies, following best practices and legal guidelines
