Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active SLP license in Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
  • Prior experience in a K-12 school setting, especially with a range of communication challenges
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Comfort working independently in a dynamic school environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-person speech and language therapy to students with varying communication profiles
  • Assess, identify, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Document progress, complete required paperwork, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Partner with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
  • Educate and consult with school staff on student communication strategies
  • Maintain compliance with all regulations and school protocols
