Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP license in Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Prior experience in a K-12 school setting, especially with a range of communication challenges
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Comfort working independently in a dynamic school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person speech and language therapy to students with varying communication profiles
- Assess, identify, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Document progress, complete required paperwork, and participate in IEP meetings
- Partner with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Educate and consult with school staff on student communication strategies
- Maintain compliance with all regulations and school protocols
