Speech Language Pathologist in South Portland, ME

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active SLP license in Maine, or eligibility to obtain before start date
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFs considered
• School-based experience preferred, but not required
• Proficiency with a range of assessment tools, intervention techniques, and instructional strategies
• Strong communication, organizational, and team collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy services to a diverse caseload of students with communication disorders
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to create and implement effective communication strategies in the classroom
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school district and state guidelines
• Serve as an advocate for students’ speech and language needs throughout the academic year
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices
