Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist and make a positive impact on students in elementary settings near South Royalton, VT. In this role, you’ll provide essential SLP services to a diverse caseload of approximately 30 children in grades PreK-6, working on-site at two supportive and collaborative school communities. Your expertise will help students build their communication skills and unlock their full potential throughout the academic year.
Key Details:
- Contract runs from September 3rd to June 10th
- 22.5 scheduled hours per week
- Workdays: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Caseload: 30 students, PreK to grade 6, presenting with typical speech/language needs
- Locations: Two elementary schools conveniently located in the region
- Services must be delivered in person (teletherapy is not an option)
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience working with pediatric and elementary populations strongly preferred
- Skilled at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication abilities
- Candidates who demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude toward adapting to different school environments will stand out
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct SLP services tailored to students’ IEP goals
- Conduct timely and thorough evaluations and re-evaluations
- Develop intervention plans; monitor and document student progress
- Collaborate with teaching staff, support personnel, and families
- Attend eligibility, IEP, and parent meetings as needed
