Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Mississippi SLP license (or eligible for state licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or CFY supervision available
- Prior experience in a school setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, creating therapy plans, and documenting student progress
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech and language needs through formal and informal evaluations
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with students’ educational goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students one-on-one or in small groups
- Document progress and maintain thorough records in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
- Offer consultation and resources to staff on communication disorders and intervention strategies
- Remain accessible for ongoing communication and support throughout the contract
