Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current Mississippi SLP license (or eligible for state licensure)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or CFY supervision available
  • Prior experience in a school setting is highly desirable
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs
  • Proficiency in conducting assessments, creating therapy plans, and documenting student progress

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ speech and language needs through formal and informal evaluations
  • Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with students’ educational goals
  • Provide direct therapy services to students one-on-one or in small groups
  • Document progress and maintain thorough records in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Offer consultation and resources to staff on communication disorders and intervention strategies
  • Remain accessible for ongoing communication and support throughout the contract
