A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students during a 12-week maternity leave coverage. This full-time contract role begins in November and extends through February, providing essential speech and language services in an engaging school-based environment near Southfield, MI.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Current SLP, CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
  • Valid Michigan state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
  • Prior experience working in a school-based setting preferred
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language evaluations, assessments, and direct therapy services to students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans and IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting on student progress
  • Contribute to professional meetings, IEP reviews, and parent conferences
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for all students
