Step into a dynamic school environment to support elementary students during a maternity leave assignment from September through November. This full-time, contract position offers the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of approximately 44-50 students, working closely with a dedicated educational team in a welcoming setting near Spanaway, WA.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Previous experience working in school settings is highly valued
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse elementary caseload with confidence and empathy
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics
  • Flexibility to adapt to new environments and varying student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with communication needs
  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to an elementary caseload
  • Track and document student progress, modifying interventions as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to help students reach their goals
  • Create a supportive, inclusive atmosphere within the school community
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to IEP development and review
