School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Spokane, Washington

Step into a dynamic education setting for a contract opportunity supporting an elementary-aged population through the full school year, ending June 16th. Located nearby the vibrant Spokane, WA area, this role puts you at the heart of a school building serving around 600 students, fostering meaningful growth in young learners.

In this role, you’ll provide speech-language services within a collaborative environment, working alongside dedicated colleagues and supporting a diverse range of students. The setting includes three preschool classrooms, two specialized Autism/IDD classrooms, and the support of two highly engaged SLPs, allowing for teamwork and professional exchange.

Qualifications & Preferred Background:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP or SLPA.
• SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, SLP (Teletherapy), SLP (School), SLPA (School), or SLPA (Healthcare) credentials welcomed.
• Experience with school-based caseloads and proficiency in engaging elementary-aged learners.
• Strong communication, organizational, and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Team-oriented attitude, contributing positively to a multidisciplinary group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language therapy to students in preschool and elementary grades.
• Address a range of communication needs, including those in Autism/IDD classrooms.
• Collaborate with onsite SLPs, educators, and families to support student goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and participate in IEP processes.
• Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and maintain thorough documentation.
