What We're Looking For:
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Michigan State licensure for SLPs or eligibility for licensure
- Prior experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged students
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with educators, staff, and families
- In-depth understanding of common communication disorders found in school-age children
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and individualized student care
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and provide direct therapy for elementary students
- Maintain accurate and timely progress reports and documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to maximize student success
- Deliver speech and language interventions tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Serve as a resource for school staff regarding communication disorders and SLP best practices
- Support non-public schools serviced by the district, ensuring consistent and equitable access to therapy
