Qualifications we’re seeking:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Texas licensure or eligibility to obtain
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) highly preferred
- Previous experience in school settings is valued
- Proficient with AAC devices and technology
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation
Key responsibilities you can expect:
- Assess and diagnose students’ speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs
- Design and execute individualized treatment plans based on evaluations
- Work closely with caregivers, interdisciplinary teams—including other SLPs, SLPAs, PTs, and OTs—to ensure a coordinated care approach
- Track and report progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans
- Keep thorough and up-to-date records in compliance with school and state guidelines
