Key Qualifications:
- Holds a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Strong understanding of evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment strategies for pediatric speech and language disorders
- Previous experience in a school-based environment is highly valued
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and educational staff
- Current state licensure to practice as an SLP (or eligibility to obtain prior to contract start)
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload and prioritize tasks
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and individualized therapy sessions for students with a range of communication needs
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans and intervention strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students’ academic and social success
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional insights and advocating for students' needs
- Foster an encouraging and inclusive learning environment for all students
