Exciting opportunities are available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) to work in a dynamic school-based setting for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position offers meaningful experiences supporting students’ communicative and educational goals in diverse school environments.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • An active Texas SLP or SLPA license (and documentation on hand; supervision hours toward licensure are not available)
  • Prior school-based experience delivering speech/language services or support, preferably in a K-12 setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and educational teams
  • Ability to work on-site and provide consistent in-person services throughout the contract term
  • Reliable transportation to accommodate potential placements
  • Flexibility to adapt to assignment changes as placement details are determined closer to the school year start

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments, developing and implementing therapy plans, and maintaining documentation according to school guidelines
  • Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
  • Adhering to ethical, professional, and district-specific policies and processes
  • Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to student intervention teams
  • Managing a caseload consistent with state and district requirements

Candidates will interview to determine the best fit for placement, with actual school assignments shared as the start of the school year approaches. The contract runs from July 30, 2026, through May 28, 2027.
