Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, working 37.5-40 hours per week for the full academic year. In this position, you’ll support elementary-aged children (Kindergarten through 4th grade) in a vibrant, inclusive school setting near Springfield, MO. The school features diverse classroom environments, including essential skills, cross-categorical, and speech-only classes, allowing you to expand your experience and make an impact across a variety of student needs.

Leverage your strong clinical skills with a manageable caseload of approximately 35 students while providing essential supervision to an SLPA. This role is perfect for professionals passionate about pediatric speech therapy and eager to collaborate within a dynamic educational environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Hold current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Licensed (or eligible) as an SLP to practice in Missouri schools
  • Background in pediatric speech therapy, particularly in a school-based setting
  • Experience supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech, language, and communication therapy to K-4 students
  • Assess, diagnose, and create individual and group treatment plans
  • Deliver services across essential skills, cross-category, and speech-only classrooms
  • Document progress, maintain thorough records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Offer clinical supervision, support, and guidance to assigned SLPA
  • Work collaboratively with educators, support staff, and families
