Step into a contract opportunity where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist will make a real difference for students with diverse needs. This engaging role spans two vibrant high schools and one elementary campus, offering a balanced schedule and supportive environment from early September through mid-June.

In this position, you’ll contribute your skills across both Westmoreland and Lane locations, splitting your week to provide variety and fresh challenges. The Westmoreland campus focuses on special education, while Lane schools provide important opportunities for students to hone their socialization skills. You’ll independently manage a caseload of roughly 33 students, all participating in life skills programming. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in feeding/swallowing (safe eating) and AAC, but training is happily provided for the right applicant.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist license (CCC preferred)
  • School-based SLP experience is an advantage
  • Background or strong interest in feeding, swallowing, and AAC preferred—training available
  • Commitment to supporting K-12 students, primarily high school and some elementary
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with onsite support from SPED, paraprofessionals, and assistants, plus virtual and monthly team meetings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy for life skills students
  • Collaborate with special education teams to develop and implement IEP goals
  • Address diverse communication needs, with focus on AAC and safe eating as needed
  • Document student progress and participate in team planning meetings
  • Support socialization and daily living skills in varied school settings
