Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant elementary school environment. This rewarding position provides an opportunity to work onsite with students from PreK through 4th grade, covering a 12-week maternity leave for a valued colleague.
As an essential part of the educational team, you’ll foster communication development and academic progress for approximately 50 students at a welcoming elementary school. Your contributions will help ensure continuity of care and academic success for these children during a critical period.
What You'll Need:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist State License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- State Educator Certification
- Experience delivering speech therapy services in schools is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with communication disorders in early childhood and elementary populations
- Skill in collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Strong assessment, documentation, and time management abilities
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to eligible students in PreK-4th grade
- Evaluate and document student progress; update IEP goals
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Implement evidence-based practices tailored to individual student needs
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines
- Adapt interventions based on student progress and evolving needs
