Make a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist providing specialized support to K-12 students in a welcoming educational setting near Stafford, VA! This contract opportunity offers full-time hours and the chance to develop strong relationships with students and staff while fostering communication growth.
You'll work 37.5 hours per week on a variety of student needs within a K-12 environment. There's openness to considering Clinical Fellows (CFs) as well as experienced SLPs with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). If you have specific experience or preferences within the K-12 spectrum, be sure to share—tailoring your caseload is possible.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license (or eligibility) for Virginia
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) preferred, will consider strong Clinical Fellows
- Experience supporting school-aged children, ideally within a school setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively with educators, families, and other therapists
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in K-12 students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct screenings and evaluations as needed
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
