Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Florida state license (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year candidates (CFY) considered
- Previous experience providing speech-language therapy in school settings is highly valued
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and school personnel
- Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse student needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct therapy services and document progress towards objectives
- Offer support and education to families and school staff regarding speech and language disorders
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a collaborative team environment
