Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid Florida state license (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year candidates (CFY) considered
  • Previous experience providing speech-language therapy in school settings is highly valued
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and school personnel
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse student needs

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide direct therapy services and document progress towards objectives
  • Offer support and education to families and school staff regarding speech and language disorders
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a collaborative team environment
