Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Virginia SLP license (or eligibility for VA licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CFY) status
- Previous school-based SLP experience is highly valued, but strong clinical backgrounds will be considered
- Skilled communicator adept at engaging K-12 students, staff, and parents
- Comfortable working onsite throughout the assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect SLP services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Administer assessments, provide therapy, and conduct screenings to support communication disorders
- Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education teams, and families to foster student growth
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in school-based SLP services
