This full-time contract opportunity is available with an immediate start date and continues through May 28, 2027, serving a district in the Winchester, VA area. You’ll step into an onsite role, replacing a virtual position, and provide meaningful, daily support to diverse student needs.
Qualifications:
- Active SLP license in the state of Virginia
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- School-based experience, especially in speech services, strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize student progress
- Commitment to providing onsite therapy and engaging fully in the educational environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy sessions to students as prescribed in their IEPs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop/update treatment plans in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of services and progress
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure consistency and maximize student outcomes
- Support case management responsibilities, including participating in IEP meetings and team discussions
- Utilize current best practices and evidence-based therapy methods to address a variety of communication disorders
