This contract assignment is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC credentials ready to begin as soon as possible and provide services through the end of the current school year, with the possibility to continue for a full school year.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- State SLP licensure (or eligibility) for Michigan
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and a collaborative, student-focused work style
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct intervention for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans and document progress toward objectives
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and federal education requirements
- Provide both individual and group therapy, adapting strategies to best support student needs throughout the school year
