As a skilled SLP possessing the Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC), you’ll play a key role supporting students in the Mixter post-secondary program. Your expertise will also be central in conducting preschool evaluations and facilitating a preschool social communication group. You’ll collaborate closely with educators and families, ensuring students receive the individualized attention they need to thrive.
Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure and SLP-CCC required
- Experience working in educational settings and knowledge of IEP development strongly preferred
- Familiarity with the Wayne RES MiStar system for electronic IEPs beneficial
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload with professionalism and care
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct IEPs, contribute to evaluations, and ensure compliance with special education standards
- Provide targeted intervention and support to students in both the post-secondary and preschool populations
- Lead preschool social communication groups and conduct formal and informal assessments as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and teachers to optimize student learning outcomes
- Maintain up-to-date documentation within the MiStar IEP platform
