Make a meaningful impact working with elementary students in a dedicated school setting as an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity focuses on providing essential speech and language services to students in grades K-5, offering the chance to make a difference in a vibrant educational community.

Your expertise in speech-language pathology will support a caseload of 45-55 elementary students during traditional school hours, from 8:50 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. You'll collaborate within an engaging multidisciplinary team to assess, develop, and implement individualized education plans, helping every child reach their potential.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Valid SLP license for Michigan or eligibility for licensure
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
  • Previous experience with pediatric populations or in school-based settings preferred
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to supporting diverse learners in an inclusive environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify speech and language needs of K-5 students
  • Develop and deliver individualized and group therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
  • Write and maintain accurate assessment records, IEPs, and progress notes
  • Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Support students' academic and social communication skills in the classroom setting
