School Speech Language Pathologist - Sterling Heights, Michigan

Key Qualifications:

• Active state Speech-Language Pathology license
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) considered
• Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric populations
• Background in school-based settings preferred
• Skilled in individualized education plans (IEPs), progress monitoring, and therapy documentation
• Comfortable delivering speech and language therapy both individually and in groups
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, students, and families

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students to identify speech, language, and communication disorders
• Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to each student’s needs
• Serve as an active participant in student support and IEP meetings
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy outcomes
• Provide direct services during elementary school hours (8:50 a.m. – 4:10 p.m.)
• Foster positive relationships in a welcoming, child-centered environment
• Partner with educators to support literacy and classroom communication goals
