Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid SLP license for the state of Michigan
  • Previous school-based SLP experience is highly valued
  • Comfort working with students with varied and complex communication needs
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students in self-contained settings
  • Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and communicate results with educational teams
  • Collaborate closely with educators and families to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Adapt therapy approaches to fit the needs of students at different developmental stages
