Speech Language Pathologist in Sterling Heights, MI

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CFY)
• Michigan licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology
• Previous experience in an elementary school setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse student population
• Collaborative mindset for working with multidisciplinary teams and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and related disorders
• Maintain a caseload of roughly 50-60 elementary students, with flexibility for increases
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student’s unique needs
• Track student progress through thorough documentation and regular evaluations
• Partner closely with classroom teachers and other support staff to support student success
• Engage families and caregivers in the therapy process through outreach and regular updates
