Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CFY)
- Michigan licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous experience in an elementary school setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse student population
- Collaborative mindset for working with multidisciplinary teams and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and related disorders
- Maintain a caseload of roughly 50-60 elementary students, with flexibility for increases
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student’s unique needs
- Track student progress through thorough documentation and regular evaluations
- Partner closely with classroom teachers and other support staff to support student success
- Engage families and caregivers in the therapy process through outreach and regular updates
