Make a meaningful impact by supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based contract position. Situated near Sterling Heights, MI, this opportunity offers hands-on experience working with a diverse caseload of 30-40 elementary students, providing essential speech-language support in an engaging educational setting. The assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and extends through June 18, 2027, providing stability and consistency for both you and your students.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathology License
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-age students within a school environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective collaboration with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Strong time management and recordkeeping abilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech-language evaluations for students, developing comprehensive assessments
  • Create and implement individualized therapy plans based on student IEPs
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services onsite to elementary students
  • Collaborate with education teams, participating in IEP meetings and progress reviews
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and progress reports as required
  • Educate and provide resources for teachers and families to support carryover of skills in the classroom and at home
