Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings
  • Comfortable serving a diverse caseload, including grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to design and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Collaborative approach with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assessing and evaluating students’ speech, language, and communication needs
  • Developing and delivering individualized education program (IEP) goals and therapy sessions
  • Collecting data to monitor and report student progress
  • Consulting with classroom teachers to implement effective strategies in the classroom setting
  • Providing intervention, consultation, and support to maximize student achievement
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and legal requirements
  • Attending IEP meetings and participating in multidisciplinary teams
