Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) covering a maternity leave from August 12, 2026, to November 6, 2026. In this full-time role, you’ll work directly with a dedicated caseload of 40 second and third grade students—all housed in one building—for the duration of the assignment.

Your clinical expertise will make a real difference, particularly in supporting students’ communication needs and succeeding within their classroom environments. The position requires experience with AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) devices, and offers a chance to create a positive impact in a collaborative educational setting.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois SLP-CCC license
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) valid in Illinois
  • Experience with AAC devices
  • Previous work in school-based settings serving elementary-aged students is preferred

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in grades 2 and 3
  • Assess, develop, and implement IEP goals
  • Collaborate regularly with teachers, families, and school teams
  • Maintain documentation for services and progress reports
  • Consult on AAC device programming and student support strategies
