Make an impact supporting students as a contracted Speech Language Pathologist for the spring semester. Two engaging caseload options await you, providing flexibility to match your experience and interests. The schedule runs weekdays from 7:45 AM to 3 PM, giving you predictable hours and evenings to yourself. This opportunity is situated within a supportive school environment and begins February 1, 2027, concluding June 11, 2027.
Caseload options include:
- Work with approximately 50 students in grades 4–8, all housed in one building, with 5 reevaluations scheduled. OR
- Focus on a Preschool and Transition group of about 40 students, with just 1 reevaluation planned.
Both caseloads involve collaborating with students who use a variety of AAC devices, including Eyegaze systems. This role welcomes professionals with Illinois State Licensure and those holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence. Candidates currently in their Clinical Fellowship Year are also encouraged to apply—there’s an openness to fostering your professional development.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois State License (or eligibility)
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
- Experience or interest in schools-based speech services
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn AAC devices, including Eyegaze
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to your assigned caseload
- Complete scheduled reevaluations
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district standards
