Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication growth in a school-based speech-language pathologist role. This contract opportunity is located near Stevensville, MD, where you’ll work collaboratively within a supportive educational environment dedicated to student success.
Ideal candidates have experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders among school-aged children. You’ll work closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that help each student reach their full potential.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, however strong Clinical Fellows will be considered
- Experience in school settings preferred
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and screenings to determine students’ speech and language needs
- Develop individualized therapeutic interventions and IEPs
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in group and one-on-one sessions
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support students’ classroom progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
