Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of Texas educational guidelines for SLPs
  • Bilingual proficiency highly preferred
  • Ability to supervise and guide Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a balanced caseload of students, delivering individualized speech and language therapy
  • Conduct ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings and perform comprehensive evaluations
  • Create and implement evidence-based therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
  • Supervise SLPAs to ensure high-quality therapy and adherence to best practices
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy services as required by school procedures
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster a supportive environment for student growth
