Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of Texas educational guidelines for SLPs
- Bilingual proficiency highly preferred
- Ability to supervise and guide Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a balanced caseload of students, delivering individualized speech and language therapy
- Conduct ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings and perform comprehensive evaluations
- Create and implement evidence-based therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Supervise SLPAs to ensure high-quality therapy and adherence to best practices
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy services as required by school procedures
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster a supportive environment for student growth
