Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting preschoolers as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school setting. This contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact, working with a caseload of up to 20 preschool-aged children and conducting evaluations for children in the Birth to Three program as needed. Your expertise will help students develop their communication skills, supporting both their academic and personal growth.

You’ll benefit from a collaborative and nurturing environment, working Monday through Friday with a consistent daily schedule (8:30/9:00 am start and 3:00/3:30 pm end). This position is anticipated to extend through December, with the possibility of continuing until the end of the school year.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Valid SLP license in Connecticut
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable managing a diverse caseload and adapting to evaluation needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide speech and language therapy for preschool students
  • Complete Birth to Three evaluations as assigned
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress updates
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, supportive school community
