Located a short drive from Strasburg, CO, this rewarding opportunity focuses on making a real impact in the lives of children, many of whom utilize communication devices to foster their learning and expression.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP license and credentials in the state
  • Previous experience in a school setting highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) preferred
  • Commitment to working 5 days a week
  • Comfortable working both individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-5 students in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Attend and contribute actively to IEP meetings, collaborating closely with educational staff and families
  • Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services per IEP requirements
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans, incorporating students’ individual needs and usage of communication devices
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust interventions as required
  • Support and educate teachers and caregivers on speech-language strategies and device integration
  • Caseload to be determined during the interview process, ensuring a manageable and meaningful workload
