Key Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Virginia Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) License is required
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Proven experience or training in school-based SLP practice
- Strong proficiency with individualized education plans (IEPs) and documentation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Comfortable adapting to both in-person and virtual therapy formats, as the district remains open to remote service delivery
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver diagnostic assessments and therapeutic interventions for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement IEP goals in coordination with educational teams and families
- Maintain clear, timely, and compliant documentation of services and student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to support students in inclusive classroom environments
- Provide guidance and education to caregivers and staff regarding best practices in speech and language development
