School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Strasburg, Virginia

Step into a vital support role dedicated to enhancing students’ communication skills in a collaborative educational environment. This contract-based opportunity involves working closely with a diverse student population, providing on-site Speech-Language Pathology services throughout the academic year. Based conveniently in the Winchester area, you will be instrumental in helping students reach their fullest potential.

What We’re Looking For:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current, valid VA SLP license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• School-based SLP experience preferred, but strong clinical backgrounds are welcome
• Exceptional communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to working fully onsite (no virtual services, replacement for a virtual provider)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans consistent with students’ IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student outcomes
• Maintain thorough, timely records and documentation in compliance with district guidelines and state regulations
• Provide direct therapy services, attend meetings, and participate in multidisciplinary teams as needed
• Remain current on best practices, techniques, and compliance standards in school-based speech therapy
