Seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC credentials for a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students. This position serves students at Booker T. Washington Elementary School, located near Suffolk, VA. You'll deliver valuable services that help students strengthen their communication skills, making a lasting impact on their academic and social growth.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid state licensure for SLP practice in Virginia
- Experience working in school settings, especially with elementary-aged children, is highly valued
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders for elementary-age students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and best practices
- Provide direct intervention through individual and group therapy sessions
- Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, progress, and communication with multidisciplinary teams
- Offer support, strategies, and resources to teachers and parents aiding student progress
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional expertise
