This contract opportunity is available near Sunnyvale, CA, offering full-time hours at 37.5 hours per week—with flexibility for candidates interested in part-time schedules. Start as soon as possible and finish out the school year alongside a supportive team.

You'll play a pivotal role in fostering communication skills, conducting speech and language assessments, and contributing to students’ academic and social development. The position supports two high-caseload elementary schools, ensuring each child receives personalized attention and care. If your passion lies in evaluations, a part-time option is available (0.6 FTE), focusing on one day at each site plus an additional day dedicated to assessments.

Essential qualifications & preferred experience:

  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist license (CA state licensure required)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • School-based experience working with elementary populations strongly preferred
  • Expertise in assessments, intervention, and IEP documentation
  • Ability to manage and prioritize high caseloads
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students
  • Complete speech and language assessments and participate in IEP meetings
  • Deliver therapy across assigned caseloads at two elementary campuses
  • Monitor and document student progress; maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support communication goals
  • Balance direct services with assessment duties as needed
