You'll play a pivotal role in fostering communication skills, conducting speech and language assessments, and contributing to students’ academic and social development. The position supports two high-caseload elementary schools, ensuring each child receives personalized attention and care. If your passion lies in evaluations, a part-time option is available (0.6 FTE), focusing on one day at each site plus an additional day dedicated to assessments.
Essential qualifications & preferred experience:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist license (CA state licensure required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- School-based experience working with elementary populations strongly preferred
- Expertise in assessments, intervention, and IEP documentation
- Ability to manage and prioritize high caseloads
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students
- Complete speech and language assessments and participate in IEP meetings
- Deliver therapy across assigned caseloads at two elementary campuses
- Monitor and document student progress; maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support communication goals
- Balance direct services with assessment duties as needed
