Step into a dynamic contract opportunity where your expertise as an Occupational Therapist will make a real impact on students’ lives. You’ll work full-time across a 186-day contract beginning in August, supporting a diverse caseload of approximately 55 students ranging from transitional kindergarten through 8th grade. This role spans 2-3 school sites nearby and offers a rewarding blend of direct therapy, assessment, and collaboration with educational teams.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current license or certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings, particularly with TK–8th grade students.
  • Well-versed in both fine and gross motor skill development within educational environments.
  • Familiarity with home health models and adapting therapeutic approaches to school settings.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to efficiently manage an assigned caseload and travel between multiple campus locations.
  • Organizational skills for thorough documentation and reporting.
  • Candidates must submit two letters of recommendation and a de-identified sample report to demonstrate assessment and reporting proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services onsite across multiple schools.
  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized intervention plans to support motor skill acquisition.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and offer expert recommendations for accommodations and modifications.
  • Provide consultative support and training to teachers and staff.
  • Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions and student progress.
  • Promote inclusive, supportive therapy environments while fostering student confidence and independence.
