Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state SLP licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
- Previous experience in a school or adolescent setting preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for high school students with speech, language, or communication challenges
- Provide direct therapy services as outlined in students’ IEPs
- Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate findings and recommendations to staff and families
- Offer consultation and strategies to teachers to support students in classroom environments
- Foster a supportive and encouraging space where students feel empowered
